Yeah, my film is in the can and the lab/film costs were the big expense. Everyone donated time and effort, nobody got paid. You get people who want to act and
be involved in making a film. I had a 16mm camera and some equipment, all gone now. But it was very carefully composed and I used a lot of in-camera effects.
It was MOS and I planned to have just effects and a voice over. It was a film within a film. It could have been very interesting. I would do it over from
scatch now. To make a film...

I think that there will indeed be more room for no-budget visions across all these venues, as you suggest. The thing with me is that after making movies on
8mm, Super 8mm and 16mm, I tried to make a 16mm experimental/horror feature in 1973. It was very much like FEMALE VAMPIRE, complete with the cape and a
scantily clad bloodsucker in misty (local) graveyards. I was not aware of Franco at the time, btw. After...

I think the future is downloads and cable TV, maybe a synthesis of the two. DVD sales are way, way down in the last year. As much as 40 % by some reports and
mainstream movie ticket sales are way up. It may have a lot to do with the economic downturn with people seeing DVDs as a luxury and wanting to go out to the
movies as an escape from reality. Read my END OF THE DVD ERA thread. The Wall Street Journal has had articles about the Disney proposed delivery system where
you'll buy access...
